Introducing the 2024 Subaru Impreza in Whitby, Ontario
The 2024 Subaru Impreza is the 6th generation impreza and now features a sportier 5-door hatchback design and a stiffer chassis that improves performance. Featuring the new available RS trim level, 2.5 liter Subaru Boxer Engine and an 11.6-inch Subaru Starlink infotainment display, the all new vehicle pulls no punches for the latest model year.
The 2024 Subaru Impreza made its global debut at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show, showcasing a more athletic 5-door hatchback design. It has enhanced its chassis stiffness by 10 percent, providing improved performance. The Impreza now exclusively comes as a 5-door hatchback, available in Base, Sport, and the new RS trim levels. The RS trim offers unique external elements including RS branding on the front doors and rear hatch, 18-inch alloy wheels with a dark gray finish, and a black finish on the front grille, side spoilers, side mirrors, LED headlights, and LED fog lights.
The interior cabin design emphasizes passenger comfort and interaction with the vehicle. It features a prominent center information display with clear controls, along with plenty of head and leg room and storage space. For enhanced comfort and fuel economy, the vehicle's climate control system focuses on occupied seats rather than the entire cabin. All trim levels feature power door locks, windows, side mirrors, and welcome lighting, with the RS trim offering an available 10-way power front driver seat with lumbar support.
The new RS trim features a 2.5-liter Subaru Boxer engine producing 182 hp. Both the Base and Sport trims come with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder direct-injection Subaru Boxer engine delivering 152 hp and 145 lb.-ft. of torque. All trims come with a standard Lineartronic CVT, with Sport and RS trims including an 8-speed manual mode with steering wheel paddle shifters. Additionally, Sport and RS trims are equipped with a sport-tuned suspension, and the Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system has been enhanced for a quicker response, superior handling, and improved cornering.
The 2024 Impreza features the Subaru Starlink 11.6-inch center information display for the first time, accompanied by wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. This new system also offers on-screen controls for audio, climate, and vehicle features. The Subaru Starlink Safety and Security Connected Services offer a wide range of convenience and safety features, including SOS Emergency Assistance, Automatic Collision Notification, Maintenance Notifications, and more.
Safety has been improved with the advanced EyeSight Driver Assist Technology standard across all models. It operates smoother, faster, and in a wider range of conditions. The system can now identify bicycles and pedestrians at intersections sooner, and when necessary, alerts the driver and applies brakes to avoid collisions. Models equipped with Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Keep Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert also include Automatic Emergency Steering, helping to avoid collisions at speeds less than 50 mph. The 2024 Impreza also features a standard Rear Seat Reminder to prevent child or pet entrapment.
